Ian Wright believes Manchester City will sign Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez next summer.

The Gunners forward has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League leaders over the past 12 months.

Sanchez has little over six months remaining on his current Gunners deal to raise questions about his future in north London.

The Chile international hasn’t signed a contract extension with the FA Cup holders to throw up the possibility of Arsenal selling Sanchez in January or allowing the former Barcelona man to leave on a free transfer next summer.

Sanchez was close to a switch to Manchester City in August but a move fell through after Arsenal failed to sign Monaco forward Thomas Lemar as his replacement.

The 28-year-old has worked under Pep Guardiola at Barcelona before a £35m move to Arsenal in the 2014 summer transfer window.

Former Arsenal striker Wright is tipping Sanchez to complete a move to Manchester City at the end of the 2017-18 season.

“Sanchez is looming,” Wright told Sky Sports. “Sanchez on a free is a proposition that Man City can turn down.”

Arsenal have won two FA Cup titles since Sanchez moved to the north London club from La Liga giants Barcelona in 2014.

The Gunners signed Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac in the summer transfer window.
