Barcelona to offer 30-year-old to Arsenal in attempt to sign Mesut Ozil – report
Barcelona are ready to use Arda Turan as a makeweight in a deal to sign Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, according to reports

Barcelona will use Arda Turan as part of a deal to sign Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, according to reports.
Daily Star is reporting that the La Liga giants are ready to allow the Turkish playmaker to move to Arsenal in an attempt to secure Ozil’s signature.
The Germany international has entered the final 12 months of his current Arsenal contract to open up the possibility of a January move.
If Arsenal opt against selling the World Cup winner next month, Ozil could leave the FA Cup holders for nothing at the end of the 2017-18 Premier League season.
According to the same story, Arsenal value Ozil at around £30m having signed the former Schalke midfielder in a then club-record £42.5m deal from La Liga giants Real Madrid in 2013.
Turan has fallen down the pecking order at Barcelona this season following Ernesto Valverde’s appointment as Luis Enrique’s successor in the summer.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with a move to sign the Arsenal number 11 in the January transfer window.
Ozil scored one goal and made two assists in the north London side’s brilliant 5-0 victory over Huddersfield Town at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
