Spanish outlet Diario Gol, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the La Liga champions are ready to cash-in on the 21-year-old after he failed to hold down a regular spot in the first team at The Bernabeu since his move from Real Betis in the summer transfer window.
The midfielder has started just two La Liga games for Real Madrid this season and his future has been a source of speculation because of his lack of first-team opportunities this term.
The same report says that Real Madrid have given the “green light” for Ceballos to leave the club, although it is also claimed that they would prefer it to be on a loan deal at first.
Ceballos has scored two goals in a total of 10 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid so far this season, but he has only started two games in total.
Arsenal and Liverpool FC are both likely to be linked with a host of players in the coming days as the January transfer window draws closer.
It remains to be seen whether the Premier League clubs will indeed make moves to try and sign Ceballos in the new year, but it does appear that his days at Real Madrid could already be numbered.
