Joe Cole names the Chelsea star he’d loved to have played with
Joe Cole explains why he is such a keen admirer of Alvaro Morata at Chelsea this season

Joe Cole has admitted that he would have loved to have played with Alvaro Morata following the Spanish striker’s strong start to life at Chelsea.
The 25-year-old signed for the west London side in the summer transfer window after he was deemed to be surplus to requirements at Real Madrid.
The Spain international has made a brilliant start to life in the Premier League, scoring nine goals and making four assists in 15 games in the top flight for Antonio Conte’s men.
There had been concerns about how well Cole would be able to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League but he has proved his doubters wrong with his fine displays.
Cole is clearly a keen admirer of the Spanish forward, and pointed to Real Madrid’s struggles in his absence as a key indicator of his talent.
Speaking to Sky Sports before Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to West Ham on Saturday, Cole said: “I’d love to have played with someone like Morata because he gives you what Diego Costa does but also without the controversy and the fire.
“Some of the headers he’s scored… I didn’t know he could do that and I had watched him a lot for Real Madrid.
“The biggest compliment you can pay him is not just what he’s done at Chelsea but also how much Real Madrid have missed him because of his movement.”
Morata will be hoping to help Chelsea return to winning ways on Tuesday night when the west London side return to Premier League action with a trip to Huddersfield Town.
The west London side will discover their opponents in the last 16 of the Champions League on Monday when the draw is made in Nyon.
