Hazard played 73 minutes of the game as the Blues bounced back from their disappointing goalless draw at Everton on Saturday by claiming three points in front of their home fans.
Alvaro Morata put Chelsea ahead just after half-time, before Marcos Alonso netted a second for the home side on the hour-mark.
The victory left Chelsea in second place in the Premier League table and 13 points behind leaders Manchester City, who play on Wednesday night.
David Luiz was not named in the squad for the game as he continues to struggle with a knee injury.
However, the Brazilian was there to support his team-mates and he clearly approved of Hazard’s display against Brighton, as he posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account.
Chelsea will now look to make it back to back wins in the top flight when they host Stoke City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Hazard has been in good form for Chelsea so far this season, scoring five goals and making two assists in 17 Premier League games.
