The north London side are not in action on Boxing Day and instead take on the Eagles on Thursday in the capital as they look to bounce back to winning ways.
Arsenal head into the game on the back of their thrilling 3-3 draw against Liverpool FC at The Emirates on Friday night.
The Gunners will be desperate to string together a series of positive results after their recent stuttering form.
Indeed, Arsenal head into the next round of fixtures in sixth place in the Premier League table and 21 points behind leaders Manchester City.
However, former Liverpool FC striker Owen reckons that the north London side could well slip up against Roy Hodgson’s Palace side on Thursday.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Arsenal have a good record against Palace at Selhurst Park losing just one of their last 12 league games although that came in last season’s fixture when the Eagles were outstanding in a 3-0 win.
“The Gunners have only won two of their nine games on the road this season, therefore I think they are in for a difficult night in a game where I expect to see goals.”
Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 season.
The north London side ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table last season but they did win the FA Cup for the third time in four years.
