Mark Lawrenson is tipping Liverpool FC to ease to 2-0 win over Leicester City at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

The Merseyside outfit have been in impressive goal-scoring form over the past few weeks following an emphatic 5-0 win against the Premier League’s basement club Swansea City on Boxing Day.

Liverpool FC have scored 46 goals in 20 games in the Premier League this season to put themselves in a decent position secure a spot in the top four and book their place in the Champions League in successive seasons.

The Reds are unbeaten in the Premier League since a 4-1 loss to top-six rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on 22 October.

Liverpool FC have collected 26 points from 11 games following seven victories and five stalemates ahead of the visit of the Foxes.

The Merseyside outfit were 3-2 winners against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium back in September thanks in part to Philippe Coutinho’s brilliant free-kick on his return to the Liverpool FC side.

Former Reds defender Lawrenson is tipping Liverpool FC to ease to a comfortable win over Leicester City at Anfield in their final home fixture in 2017.

“The Reds easily saw off Swansea on Boxing Day, helped by a top-class Philippe Coutinho goal in the first few minutes, and I think home advantage will be massive for them in this game – although Leicester are far more dangerous opponents,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport.

“I was surprised to see them slip to defeat against Watford after taking the lead and the Foxes have only picked up one point in their past three matches, although that was against Manchester United.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term and secured a return to the Champions League.
