The Red Devils have won their last three Premier League games to build up some momentum following a 1-0 loss to defending Premier League champions Chelsea at the end of October.
Manchester United dropped points in a goalless draw with top-four rivals Liverpool at Anfield as Mourinho was criticised for a negative approach to the north west derby.
That result triggered a decline in Manchester United’s performance level and the Red Devils lost 2-1 to Huddersfield Town before an unconvincing 1-0 victory over Tottenham.
Mourinho has earned a reputation for parking the bus during both spells at Chelsea, while Manchester United were overly negative at their traditional rivals last term.
Manchester City are eight points clear of Mourinho’s second-placed side with 24 games to go in the title race.
But former Red Devils defender Higginbotham believes Manchester United will show more attacking adventure against Arsenal at The Emirates on Saturday evening.
“I think Mourinho’s line-up will be quite adventurous,” Higginbotham told Sky Sports.
“I think there will be a lot of pace in the team. I think he will allow Arsenal to come at them and try to counter-attack.”
Arsenal have beaten Manchester United in their last two Premier League meetings at The Emirates.
Manchester United will welcome Premier League leaders Manchester City to Old Trafford on Sunday 12 December.
