Klopp singles out ‘fantastic’ Liverpool FC star for key moment: It was like scoring a goal
The Liverpool FC manager was thrilled with Simon Mignolet's save at 2-0 in the 48th minute of their 5-1 win at Brighton

Jurgen Klopp praised Simon Mignolet for his key save in Liverpool’s 5-1 win at Brighton on Saturday.
The Reds were forced to make a number of defensive changes to the Liverpool starting line-up at Amex Stadium.
Emre Can and Georginio Wijnaldum started alongside Dejan Lovren in a makeshift back three in the absence of Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.
Liverpool FC made the breakthrough in the first half when Can powered a header into the net from a corner to settle the away side.
The Merseyside outfit doubled their lead less than 60 seconds later when Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah combined to devastating effect before Roberto Firmino finished from close range.
Mignolet produced a world-class save from close range to keep out Murray before Liverpool went down the other end of the pitch and made it 3-0 thanks to Firmino’s second of the game.
Brighton did get one goal back thanks to Murray’s penalty when Liverpool FC captain Jordan Henderson was somewhat harshly adjudged to have pushed Shane Duffy.
Coutinho scored a mischievous free-kick with five minutes remaining before the Liverpool number 10 doubled his tally with a deflected strike.
But Klopp singled out Mignolet for special praise after his world-class save on his 150th appearance for Liverpool FC.
“Fantastic. It was like scoring a goal!” Klopp said.
