The Reds made Oxlade-Chamberlain their fourth signing of the summer transfer window on transfer deadline day after the England international opted to move to Liverpool FC ahead of Chelsea.
The 24-year-old moved to the 18-time English champions after the versatile midfielder scored 20 times in 198 appearances in all competitions during a seven-season stay at The Emirates.
Jurgen Klopp used Oxlade-Chamberlain sparingly following his move to Anfield but the former Southampton star has become a first-team regular over the past couple of months.
Indeed, the summer signing has scored one goal and has made two assists in his last nine appearances in all competitions.
Speaking to the media ahead of Liverpool FC’s clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Friday night, Klopp named one area where Oxlade-Chamberlain needs to improve.
“I think the biggest potential he still has is being involved in goalscoring situations because he has [the ability] in himself, it’s unbelievable,” Klopp said.
“But he was not asked for this too much I think in the past. If you watch Arsenal in the past the two decisive players were Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in a lot of moments.
“[That means] you are not that involved but here we put a lot more on his shoulders and if he is on the pitch he needs to be involved in [goal] situations as well.
“I’m fine for the moment, it’s all good, but I see also a lot of space for improvement as well – that’s good.”
The England midfielder’s last appearance for Arsenal came in a 4-0 defeat by Liverpool FC at Anfield back in August.
The Reds were 4-3 winners against Arsenal in their last Premier League meeting at the Emirates Stadium.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place and one spot ahead of Arsenal in the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.
