Frank Lampard: What I really think about Liverpool FC under Jurgen Klopp
Frank Lampard opens up about Liverpool FC's good form under Jurgen Klopp this season
Frank Lampard has admitted that he is a huge fan of the expansive football played by Liverpool FC under Jurgen Klopp.
The Merseyside outfit seem to have found their feet in recent weeks and the Reds have been earning plenty of praise for their sparkling attacking displays.
Klopp’s men followed up their 5-1 thrashing of Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League last weekend with a 7-0 demolition of Spartak Moscow at Anfield in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Liverpool FC are now preparing for their crunch Merseyside derby showdown with Everton at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
And Chelsea legend Lampard has admitted that he is a huge admirer of the Merseyside outfit when they are in full flow.
Speaking to BT Sport on Wednesday night, Lampard said: “Those front four [Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane]…
“It’s not tricks and flicks. They just play the perfect ball in front of each other. They link up so well. It’s great to watch.”
He added: “The four lads up top were brilliant. They were like mates playing together. I don’t care who the competition is, to play at that level [against Spartak] was something special.”
Liverpool FC head into their clash with Everton on Sunday in fourth place in the Premier League table as they look to try and get themselves back into the title race during the hectic festive period in the top flight.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season as they secured their spot in Europe’s elite club competition in Klopp’s first full campaign in charge.
