Dietmar Hamann sends heartfelt Liverpool FC message to Emre Can

The Liverpool FC legend congratulates Emre Can on becoming second German to make 100 appearances for the Reds

Dietmar Hamann paid credit to Emre Can after the Liverpool FC midfielder became the second German player to make 100 appearances for the Merseyside club.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp restored Can to the Reds team for the trip to Stoke City in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

The 18-time English champions signed Can in a £8.75m deal from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old has made a brilliant start to the 2017-18 season despite continued uncertainty surrounding his long-term future at Liverpool FC.

Can has entered the final 12 months of his current contract amid talk of interest from Premier League leaders Manchester City and Serie A giants Juventus.

Can follows in the foosteps of Hamann after he reached 100 appearances for the Merseyside outfit.

Former Liverpool FC mifielder Hamann was quick send a message to Can on a special night for the number 23.

Hamann wrote on Twitter: “Congratulations Emre, hopefully a few more #LFC”

Can has scored one goal and has made two assists in 15 appearances in all competitions during the 2017-18 season so far.

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term to secure a return to the Champions League after a two-season absence.
