Guillem Balague replies when asked if Liverpool FC will sign Antoine Griezmann
The Spanish football expert doesn't believe Liverpool FC will be able to attract Antoine Griezmann to Anfield

Guillem Balague has appeared to rule out the prospect of Liverpool FC signing Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.
The France international has emerged as a surprise target for the Merseyside outfit despite the wealth of attacking talent at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal.
Griezmann was on a brink of a £7m move to Liverpool FC in 2010 but a deal failed to materialise and the Frenchman has gone on to establish himself as one of La Liga’s best players at Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
The 25-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window before Atletico’s transfer ban forced Griezmann to rethink his plans and commit his short-term future to Diego Simeone’s men.
Only Manchester City and Manchester United have scored more goals than Liverpool FC in the Premier League this season and Daniel Sturridge has been linked with a potential move in January ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
Speaking to Sky Sports about Liverpool FC’s ability to attract Griezmann to Anfield, La Liga expert Balague said:
“Griezmann is thinking of different things. Liverpool have to prove they are genuine title contenders again to be able to attract the likes of Griezmann. I don’t think Liverpool are on Griezmann’s radar at this moment in time.”
Liverpool FC will complete the signing of RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita at the end of the 2017-18 season in a club-record £48m deal.
The Reds are in fourth place in the Premier League table.
