Neville: How Man United will cope without Pogba v Man City
The Man United legend believes Marouane Fellaini or Ander Herrera will help to fill Paul Pogba's void in the Manchester derby
Phil Neville has tipped Marouane Fellaini or Ander Herrera to replace Paul Pogba in the Manchester United derby.
The Red Devils were 3-1 winners against title rivals Arsenal at The Emirates last weekend to put pressure on Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Pogba produced a brilliant performance to help Manchester United to secure three points with two assists in the top of the table clash.
However, the 25-year-old was sent off in the 74th minute after Pogba received a red card for a reckless challenge on Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin.
Jose Mourinho faces the unenviable task of plotting a way to beat Manchester City without their club record signing at Old Trafford.
Former Manchester United defender Neville suggested Herrera or Fellaini could come in to replace Pogba in the Red Devils team.
“You think Herrera might come in,” Neville told Irish radio station Newstalk.
“Herrera marked Hazard in the Chelsea game at Old Trafford last season. Could Herrera do a job on De Bruyne or Silva? Fellaini could come in and Man United could go more direct.”
Pogba moved to Manchester United in an £89m deal from Serie A giants Juventus in the 2016 summer transfer window.
The Red Devils finished in sixth place in the table last term but won the League Cup and the Europa League.
