Scholes: What I think about Lukaku’s form ahead of Man United v Man City
The Man United legend opens up about Romelu Lukaku's form ahead of Sunday's derby at Old Trafford

Paul Scholes insists Romelu Lukaku has been performing well in recent weeks despite a lack of goals ahead of Manchester United’s derby clash against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils signed Lukaku in a £75m deal from Premier League rivals Everton in the summer transfer window ahead of interest from defending Premier League champions Chelsea.
The 24-year-old scored 10 goals in his first nine games in a Manchester United shirt to quash talk of Lukaku struggling at Old Trafford following his big-money switch.
However, Lukaku managed to score on goal in 12 appearances before the centre-forward found the net in a 2-1 win against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Belgian forward has failed to find the net against Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in the 2017-18 Premier League season so far.
Former Manchester United midfielder Scholes has been impressed with Lukaku’s performances over the past few weeks.
“His all-round play in the last few games has been very good actually, better than it probably has been when he was scoring goals,” Scholes told BT Sport.
“It was a great ball from Pogba for Lukaku’s goal [against CSKA Moscow] and he showed his strength.”
Manchester United lost 2-1 to Premier League leaders Manchester City at Old Trafford last season before the Red Devils secured a 1-0 win the League Cup.
Jose Mourinho’s side settled for a point in a goalless stalemate with the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium last term.
