Gary Lineker lavished praise on David De Gea for another sparkling display from the goalkeeper in Manchester United’s goalless draw with Southampton on Saturday.

The Spanish shot-stopper has been in particularly good form this season and has been earning plenty of praise for his sparkling displays.

De Gea was once again in top form on Saturday night as Manchester United stuttered to a draw at Old Trafford, their third in a row in the Premier League.

However, England legend Lineker picked out De Gea’s fine display as one of the positives for Manchester United fans to take from the game.

Lineker wrote on Twitter: “De Gea’s a joke. He makes more saves with his feet than most keepers make with their hands.”

De Gea has started all 21 of Manchester United’s Premier League games so far this season and has been earning rave reviews for his performances.

Manchester United will take on Everton at Goodison Park in their next Premier League game on Monday.

The Red Devils are bound to be linked with a number of players in the coming days as the January transfer window draws closer.

However, it remains to be seen whether Jose Mourinho will opt to get the chequebook out in the mid-season window or wait until the summer to strengthen his squad.
