Luke Shaw has taken to social media to issue a rallying cry as Manchester United look to try and get back to winning ways by beating Southampton this weekend.

The Red Devils have been in stuttering form in recent weeks and slumped to their second successive 2-2 draw on Boxing Day as they were held by Burnley at Old Trafford.

That stalemate followed Manchester United’s 2-2 draw with Leicester City last weekend and left the Red Devils 15 points behind leaders Manchester City in the Premier League table.

It looks as if Manchester City will not be caught in the race for the Premier League title this season, with Pep Guardiola’s men already out of sight at the top of the table.

Manchester United are preparing to welcome Southampton to Old Trafford as they look to try and string together a series of wins to get their Premier League campaign back on track.

And Shaw is clearly determined to try and play his part in helping Jose Mourinho’s men bounce back from a difficult few days.

Shaw posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Let’s get back to it, ready for the next game! @manchesterunited #training.”

Manchester United look set to significantly better their sixth-placed finish in the Premier League last season in Mourinho’s first campaign in charge.

The Red Devils also won the League Cup and Europa League last term.
