The Red Devils were heavily linked with a move to land the France international at the start of the summer transfer window and the player himself even rated his chances of moving to Old Trafford as “six out of 10”.
However, a move failed to materialise after Griezmann opted to stay at Atletico Madrid as the Spanish club’s transfer ban was upheld.
There is bound to be plenty of fresh speculation linking Manchester United with a host of players as the January transfer window draws ever nearer.
Griezmann is likely to be one player linked with a move to the Premier League outfit – but Mourinho was in no mood to discuss that particular rumour at his pre-match news conference on Friday afternoon.
Asked if Manchester United are interested in signing Griezmann, Mourinho replied: “I don’t speak about players – especially players who belong to other clubs.”
Manchester United are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils are aiming to build on their 1-0 victory over Bournemouth at Old Trafford last week following their derby defeat by Manchester City.
