Top 26-year-old picks out Man United shirt number ahead of summer transfer – report
Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has selected a Man United shirt number, according to reports in Spain
Antoine Griezmann has already selected his Manchester United shirt number ahead of a summer move, according to reports.
Don Balon, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News, is reporting that the Red Devils have held fresh talks with the France international about a potential transfer.
The same article states that Jose Mourinho has made signing Griezmann his number one priority ahead of Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale.
According to the same story, the Red Devils boss jetted out to Madrid last week to discuss a potential move to sign the 26-year-old forward next summer.
And the Spanish media outlet claim that Griezmann has already selected his shirt number at Manchester United should a transfer finally materialise.
Griezmann was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer before Atletico Madrid were handed a Uefa transfer ban to scupper Manchester United’s plans.
The France forward opted to commit his immediate future to los Rojiblancos given the club’s inability to replace the centre-forward should he leave for the Premier League.
Manchester United ended up signing Everton striker Romelu Lukaku in a £75m deal from Premier League rivals Everton ahead of interest from defending champions Chelsea.
Lukaku has scored eight Premier League goals in 14 games so far.
