Ian Wright: 29-year-old Arsenal star would be ‘unbelievable’ Man United signing
Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes Mesut Ozil could leave the club for free to join Manchester United

Ian Wright believes Mesut Ozil would be an “unbelievable” signing for Manchester United.
The German midfielder has scored two goals and five assists in just five games in the Premier League to piece together some fine form under Arsene Wenger
The 29-year-old attacker won man of the match awards for his all-action displays against Huddersfield Town and Tottenham Hotspur over the past month or so.
However, the barometer of opinion swings wildly on Ozil and his Arsenal career has seen a constant barrage of criticism since moving to The Emirates from Real Madrid in August 2013.
Arsene Wenger has often referenced Ozil’s need to be wanted at a club but some Arsenal supporters have become increasingly disillusioned with the Gunners star.
With just over six months left on his current Arsenal deal, the German will soon be able to speak to other clubs in January if they approach Arsenal about the midfielder.
Wright, the second highest goalscorer in history for the north London club, is of the opinion that Ozil on a free transfer to the Red Devils is a likely prospect.
Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live: “Ozil to Man United on a free is a shoe-in.”
“I could see him at Man United and being unbelievable,” Wright added.
The Arsenal legend has been a vocal fan of Ozil despite criticising his work rate and passion since his £42.5m move four seasons ago.
His words on the future of the German will worry some Arsenal fans, especially given the nightmnare scenario that Ozil completes a move to Manchester United and reunites with his former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho.
Ozil has won three FA Cups in four seasons under Wenger since his big-money switch.
