The Gunners are winless in their last two Premier League games to drop down to fifth place in the Premier League table and a point adrift of their rivals Liverpool FC.
Arsenal lost 3-1 to Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United outfit at The Emirates earlier this month to see their 13-game winning run at home in the Premier League come to an end.
The north London side managed to find a late equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw with Southampton at St Mary’s thanks to Olivier Giroud’s 88th-minute equaliser.
West Ham will be buoyed for the visit of Arsene Wenger’s side following the Hammers’ 1-0 win against defending Premier League champions Chelsea at London Stadium.
Former Liverpool striker Owen is backing West Ham to secure either win or draw against Arsenal in the derby clash in east London on Wednesday night.
“A fascinating game at the London Stadium with West Ham looking to build on a fabulous win against champions Chelsea at the weekend and Arsenal desperate to return to winning ways having salvaged a point at St Mary’s courtesy of Olivier Giroud’s late header,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Arsene Wenger must do without the injured Aaron Ramsay, which is a blow to the Gunners, and I was taken with the Hammers spirit and defensive qualities against Chelsea. If there is to be a winner midweek, I think it will be the hosts.”
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term to miss out on a place in the Champions League.
The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04.
The north London club have won the FA Cup three times in the last four seasons.
