Thierry Henry: What I really think about Arsenal star Mesut Ozil
The Arsenal legend delivers his verdict on Mesut Ozil's recent performances for the Gunners
Thierry Henry has hailed Mesut Ozil as “unplayable” when the Arsenal midfielder is at the peak of hid powers.
The Germany international helped the Gunners to book their place in the League Cup final on Wednesday night after a 2-1 win against defending champions Chelsea.
Ozil has been in fine form over the past couple of months for the north London side despite the uncertainty surrounding his future at Arsenal.
Indeed, the World Cup winner has scored four goals and made six assists in 20 appearances in all competitions this season.
Former Arsenal striker Henry has been impressed with Ozil’s performances in Arsene Wenger’s team following their 2-1 win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
“The guy is an amazing player,” Henry told Sky Sports. “We always talk about his consistency, if he plays all the time like he did against Crystal Palace, he’s unplayable”
The 29-year-old has been linked with a potential move to Manchester United in recent months given his current contract situation at The Emirates.
The Arsenal midfielder has less than six months remaining on his current deal to open up the possibility of the Gunners star leaving on a free transfer in the summer.
Ozil worked with Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho during three seasons at Real Madrid before his £42.5m transfer to Arsenal in 2013.
The World Cup winner has got his hands on three FA Cup titles in four seasons at Arsenal.
