Alexandre Lacazette sent a welcome message to Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the playmaker signed for Arsenal last week

Alexandre Lacazette has taken to social media to welcome Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Arsenal after the playmaker signed for the Gunners from Manchester United last week.

The 29-year-old playmaker signed for the Gunners last Monday as part of the same deal which saw Alexis Sanchez head to Manchester United after months of speculation about the Chilean’s future.

Mkhitaryan has been getting used to life at The Emirates in recent days as he bids to enjoy a second half of the season under Arsene Wenger.

He has been training with his new team-mates at London Colney this week and summer signing Lacazette was quick to give his new team-mate a warm welcome.

Lacazette posted the picture above of the duo in training together on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Talking with my New team mate. Welcome in the club @micki_taryan !! 🤙🏾”

Both Lacazette and Mkhitaryan will be hoping to feature when the Gunners return to Premier League action on Saturday with a home clash against Everton at The Emirates.

With the transfer deadline fast approaching tonight, it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will be bringing in any more signings this month.

Arsenal are aiming to at least break back into the top four this season after the finished fifth and missed out on Champions League qualification last term.
