Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang admits he's already looking forward to linking up with Henrikh Mkhitaryan after signing for Arsenal
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has expressed his delight at the prospect of linking up with Henrikh Mkhitaryan at Arsenal after his transfer to The Emirates was finally confirmed on Wednesday.
The Gabon striker was unveiled as a Gunners player on Wednesday morning after completing his transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
The 28-year-old is set to link up with his former team-mate Mkhitaryan at The Emirates after the Armenian signed for the Gunners from Manchester United as part of the deal which saw Alexis Sanchez head to Old Trafford.
The attacker has signed a long-term contract with the north London side after having been relentlessly linked with a move to The Emirates.
And the forward has revealed his delight at finally putting pen to paper on his contract with the Gunners, while also admitted that he can’t wait to link up with his former team-mate again.
Speaking to Arsenal’s website, Aubameyang said: “Finally! I’m really happy to be here.
“Of course I can join Micki in this team, so I’m really happy to be here in this great team.”
Aubameyang will be hoping to line up for his new team when the Gunners take on Everton in the evening kick-off in the Premier League on Saturday.
The north London side are bidding to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of their 3-1 loss to Swansea City in Wales on Tuesday night.
