Santi Cazorla has taken to social media to wish Theo Walcott all the best after he signed for Everton on a permanent transfer on Wednesday.

The England attacker joined the Toffees in a deal believed to be worth around £20m to Arsenal after he was deemed to be surplus to requirements at The Emirates by Arsene Wenger.

Walcott has been at Arsenal since signing for the Gunners from Southampton back in January 2006.

Cazorla knows Walcott well after having played along side him for his whole Arsenal career.

And the Spanish midfielder was quick to take to social media and pay tribute to Walcott after his move away from Arsenal was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.

Cazorla posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “My friend good luck in your new stage, you are a great example for all, thanks for everything we will miss you @theowalcott #allthebest.”

Arsenal are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table as they prepare for their home clash against Crystal Palace at The Emirates on Saturday.

Cazorla has not featured for the Gunners for more than a year after a string of serious complications after he suffered an Achilles injury in October 2016.

Arsenal are aiming to at least break back into the top four this season after they finished fifth last term and missed out on Champions League qualification.
