Henrikh Mkhitaryan was pictured in a London hotel on Saturday ahead of his proposed move from Man United to Arsenal
Henrikh Mkhitaryan looked to be in high spirits as he was pictured at a central London hotel on Saturday night ahead of his proposed transfer to Arsenal from Manchester United.
The Armenia international is on the brink of signing for the Gunners after a breakthrough in the deal for Alexis Sanchez to move to Old Trafford was made on Saturday afternoon.
The 28-year-old playmaker is likely to undergo a medical with Arsenal in the coming hours ahead of the deal being officially confirmed by the north London side.
There has been relentless speculation linking Mkhitaryan with a move to The Emirates in recent days but it now seem that the move is officially going to go through after Arsene Wenger confirmed the proposed move on Saturday.
And he seemed to be in a good mood as he was pictured in central London on Saturday ahead of his move.
The photos were first shared on social media by LBC and Sky News journalist Paul Smith on Saturday night.
Sky Sports News reporter Bryan Swanson then posted the same picture above on his personal Twitter account and wrote the caption: “Just met Henrikh Mkhitaryan outside hotel in central London.
“Big smile when asked about him nearly joining Arsenal! He’s out with Mino Raiola.”
Mkhitaryan, who turned 29 on Sunday, has scored one goal and made five assists in 15 Premier League games for Manchester United this season.
However, he failed to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Old Trafford and only started 11 games in the top flight for Jose Mourinho’s men.
