Henrikh Mkhitaryan looks in good shape as he trains with his Arsenal team-mates for the first time

Henrikh Mkhitaryan looked to be in high spirits as he trained with his Arsenal team-mates for the first time following his transfer to the club from Manchester United on Monday.

The Armenia international has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Gunners after he moved to The Emirates as part of the deal which saw Alexis Sanchez head to Old Trafford.

Mkhitaryan has already begun training with his new team-mates as he gets used to life in his new surroundings following his January transfer.

The 29-year-old took part in training at London Colney on Tuesday morning as Arsenal prepared for the second leg of their League Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea at The Emirates on Wednesday night.

Mkhitaryan is ineligible for that game because he has already featured in the League Cup for Manchester United this season.

Arsenal fans will be hoping to see the playmaker line up in a Gunners shirt soon though, and he looked to be in good shape as he trained with his new team-mates on Tuesday.

Here are some of the best pictures from Mkhitaryan’s first training session with Arsenal following his move to the north London club.
