Jamie Redknapp has warned Arsenal that their top-six rivals will be interested in signing Jack Wilshere.

The England international has been one of the only positives for the north London club over the past few months.

Wilshere returned from a season-long loan at Bournemouth last summer with his future at Arsenal in doubt.

Arsene Wenger resorted to using the injury-prone midfielder in the Europa League and the League Cup this term.

However, the 25-year-old has managed to battle his way into Wenger’s starting line-up in the Premier League.

Wilshere proved his fitness with six successive starts in the Premier League during the festive schedule.

The England star is set to become a free agent in the summer with less than six months remaining on his current deal.

Former Liverpool FC captain Redknapp believes Wilshere will be attracting interest from Arsenal’s top-six rivals.

“Wilshere is showing he is in a different class to his team-mates,” Redknapp told the Daily Mail.

“If he keeps up this form, I would not be surprised if Arsenal’s top-six rivals were on the phone to his agent.”

Wilshere was powerless to prevent Arsenal losing 2-1 to his former club Bournemouth on the south coast last weekend.
