Jack Wilshere has taken to social media to welcome Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Arsenal after the Armenia international signed for the Gunners from Manchester United on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old playmaker signed a long-term contract with the north London side on Monday after joining the Gunners as part of the deal which saw Alexis Sanchez move to Old Trafford.
Mkhitaryan has already begun training with his new team-mates and took part in his first session at London Colney on Tuesday morning.
The England star looked pleased to be training alongside his new team-mate and he took to social media to send Mkhitaryan a special message after the transfer went through on Monday.
Wilshere posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Welcome to the club @micki_taryan looking forward to playing with you ⚽️🔴.”
Mkhitaryan could be in line to make his first appearance for Arsenal when the Gunners take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium in their next Premier League game on Tuesday night.
Arsenal are looking to try and break back into the top four this season after they finished in fifth place last term and missed out on a place in the Champions League.
The Gunners are currently in sixth place in the table as they bid to try and get themselves back into the race for Champions League qualification.
