The Gunners midfielder has recently broken back into the first team at The Emirates and has been in top form for the north London side after having spent last season out on loan to Bournemouth.
Wilshere struggled to hold down a regular spot in the Arsenal side earlier this season but now seems to have won over Arsene Wenger with his impressive displays.
The 25-year-old captained Arsenal for their goalless draw with Chelsea in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final clash at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Wilshere, however, was forced off in the 57th minute in west London after suffering an ankle injury, although the extent of the problem is still not known.
And former Liverpool FC midfielder Redknapp has heaped praise on Wilshere following his brilliant performances so far this term.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Wednesday night, Redknapp said: “There is nobody in the game who’s better at give-and-goes.
“He provokes the situation, plays a one-two, goes past people… it’s brilliant. I love watching it. It’s brilliant what he does on the ball.”
Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Sunday when they travel to Wilshere’s former loan club Bournemouth.
The Gunners are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table as they seek to try and break back into the top four this term and secure Champions League qualification.
