Arsene Wenger reveals Arsenal’s plans for the January transfer window
Arsene Wenger offers a typically coy reply when asked about his plans for the January transfer window with Arsenal
Arsene Wenger remained typically coy when quizzed about Arsenal’s plans for the January transfer window.
The Gunners are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks as the mid-season window offers Wenger the chance to bolster his squad.
Arsenal were not one of the busiest Premier League clubs last summer as Wenger only opted to bring two more players to the Emirates – Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette.
Nevertheless, the Gunners are thought to be keen on bolstering their squad this month as Wenger looks to give his side the ammunition needed to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.
However, the Gunners boss was in no mood to give anything away when quizzed about his January transfer plans after Arsenal’s frustrating 1-1 draw at West Brom on Sunday.
Asked about his plans for the January transfer window, Wenger told his post-match news conference: “Tomorrow we try to bring in first and after that we will see.”
Arsenal are now preparing for their crunch Premier League clash against Chelsea at The Emirates on Wednesday night.
The two sides drew 0-0 when they last met in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge earlier this season, with the Blues having lost to Arsenal in the Community Shield and FA Cup final last year.
