Arsenal are interested in signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United this month, according to reports in the British media.

The Guardian is reporting that the Gunners are keeping tabs on the playmaker’s situation at Manchester United and also have an interest in signing Brazilian forward Malcom from Bordeaux.

Sanchez’s future at Arsenal has been a constant source of uncertainty over the last few months after both he and Mesut Ozil entered into the final few months of their contracts at The Emirates.

Mkhitaryan, meanwhile, seems to be struggling to win the trust of Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, with the playmaker having fallen dramatically out of favour under the Portuguese coach.

The Armenia international was one of Mourinho’s first signings following his appointment at Old Trafford back in May 2016.

However, the 28-year-old has started less than half of the Red Devils’ Premier League games so far this season.

The same report in the Guardian says that Arsenal were among the clubs interested in Mkhitaryan back in 2016 before he opted to a move to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at The Emirates on Saturday as they look to get back to winning ways in the top flight.
