Arsenal are close to signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in a £60m deal, say reports
Arsenal are close to securing the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in a £60m deal, according to reports in the British media.
BBC Sport is reporting that the Gunners are close to reaching an agreement with the German club as they look to secure the signing of the 28-year-old Gabon striker.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move to sign Aubameyang in recent days and it seems that a deal could be edging closer.
However, the article also says that a deal for Aubameyang will not be finalised until Dortmund have lined up a suitable replacement for the forward.
The same report says that Arsenal have already had two bids for the striker rejected by Dortmund.
Arsenal have already been busy in the January transfer window after offloading the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Francis Coquelin.
The Gunners also secured the signing of playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan as part of the deal which saw Sanchez head to Manchester United last week.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against Swansea City on Tuesday night as they look to keep their hopes of finishing in the top four this season alive.
