Arsenal issued deadline to complete next January signing – report
Borussia Dortmund have told Arsenal to increase their bid or miss out on signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, say reports
Borussia Dortmund have told Arsenal to increase their offer to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – or face having to wait until the summer, according to reports in Germany.
German outlet Bild, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the north London side are still £13m short of Dortmund’s £61m valuation of Aubameyang.
The north London side have been heavily linked with a move to land the 28-year-old this month but there is yet to be an agreement between the two clubs on a transfer fee.
Arsenal would have to break their transfer record to sign Aubameyang if Dortmund really are holding out for £61m, with the Gunners’ most expensive signing currently the move to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon back in the summer.
The same report says that the proposed transfer is now in danger of falling apart and Dortmund have issued an “ultimatum” to the Gunners about Aubameyang’s situation.
The story also says that Dortmund are working behind the scenes on the possibility of re-integrating Aubameyang into their first team.
Meanwhile, Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be in line to make his debut for Arsenal when the Gunners take on Swansea City in their next Premier League clash at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.
