Guillem Balague sends message to Arsenal fans about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
The La Liga expert confirms Arsenal are willing to pay €60m (£53m) to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund this month
Guillem Balague has revealed that Arsenal are willing to pay €60m (£53m) to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.
The Gunners are in the market to sign a proven goal-scorer with Alexis Sanchez rumoured to be on the brink of a move to Manchester United.
Sanchez scored 24 times in 38 games in the Premier League last term but the South American has struggled to hit the same heights in the 2017-18 campaign.
Arsenal could also lose Mesut Ozil given the Germany international’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season like Jack Wilshere and Sanchez.
The north London side have been linked with a big-money swoop to sign Dortmund striker Aubameyang to help replace Sanchez in the Arsenal team.
The Gabon international has scored 141 goals in 242 appearances in all competitions during a five-season spell at Borussia Dortmund.
La Liga expert Balague confirmed that Arsenal are willing to fork out €60m (£53m) on the prolific Dortmund striker in the current transfer window.
Balague wrote on Twitter: “Having convinced the player, now Arsenal will hear from Dortmund if they sell cheaply, expensive or not at all. If they open to sell, deal will take still a while but Arsenal willing to pay €60m.”
Aubameyang missed out to Liverpool FC’s Mohamed Salah in the race to win Africa’s player of the year award.
The Dortmund striker has netted 21 times in 23 games in all competitions in the 2017-18 season so far.
