Arsenal want to sign quality 28-year-old to replace Sanchez – report
Arsenal are keen on a deal to bring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to The Emirates this month, say reports
Arsenal want to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund to replace Alexis Sanchez this month, according to reports in Germany.
German newspaper Bild, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Gunners have their sights set on landing the 28-year-old attacker this month as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his attacking options at The Emirates.
The same report says that Arsenal are now “working” on a deal to try and bring Aubameyang to The Emirates before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
The Gabon international is widely regarded as one of the Bundesliga’s hottest attacking talents.
Aubameyang has been in fine form for Dortmund this season and has scored 13 goals and made three assists in 15 Bundesliga games for the German side.
Arsenal are believed to be keen to bring in some significant reinforcements in the January transfer window after their terrible start to 2018.
The Gunners have been dumped out of the FA Cup and slumped to a 2-1 loss to Bournemouth on Sunday to leave them eight points adrift of the top four in the race for Champions League qualification.
Arsenal will return to Premier League action with a home clash against Crystal Palace this weekend.
