Chelsea FC ready to let Brazilian sign for Arsenal in swap deal – report
Chelsea FC are willing to let David Luiz move to Arsenal as part of the deal to sign Olivier Giroud, say reports
Chelsea FC are willing to let David Luiz move to Arsenal as part of a deal to bring Olivier Giroud to Stamford Bridge, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Star is reporting that the Blues are prepared to let the Brazilian defender head to The Emirates if it means that they will be able to sign the French striker from their London rivals.
Chelsea FC have long been linked with a move to sign a striker in the January transfer window as Antonio Conte looks to add to his strike-force at Stamford Bridge.
The same story says that Arsene Wenger has had Luiz on his radar this month as the Frenchman looks to strengthen his defence at The Emirates.
It is claimed that Wenger was also keen on Jonny Evans but has so far been unwilling to pay the £25m asking price for the 30-year-old Northern Ireland defender.
And Chelsea FC’s need for a striker could now prompt the Blues into considering a move to allow Luiz to head to The Emirates, according to the report.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their home clash against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
