The Spain international has been sidelined with a hamstring problem since a 0-0 draw with Leicester City in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge earlier this month.
Fabregas was expected to be sidelined for two weeks but the World Cup winner returned to training at Cobham on Friday afternoon ahead of the FA Cup weekend.
The 30-year-old creative midfielder had to sit out Chelsea FC’s 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final at the Emirates Stadium.
Chelsea FC have only managed to win one of their last six games in all competitions to heap pressure on Italian coach Antonio Conte.
However, the Blues will soon be able to call upon Fabregas’s playmaking ability after the former Arsenal captain returned to first-team training on Sunday afternoon.
Fabregas posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
Chelsea FC have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons under Jose Mourinho and then Antonio Conte.
Fabregas still hasn’t won the Champions League crown and will have to help Chelsea FC get past his former club Barcelona in the last 16.
