Eden Hazard reacts to Chelsea FC team-mate’s ‘great’ display at Brighton
Eden Hazard singled out Willy Caballero for special praise after his display for Chelsea FC in the 4-0 win at Brighton
Eden Hazard praised Willy Caballero for his performance in goal for Chelsea FC during their thumping 4-0 victory over Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Caballero was drafted into the starting line-up in the absence of the injured Thibaut Courtois and produced a solid display to help the Blues return to winning ways by keeping a clean sheet.
Two goals from Eden Hazard and strikes from Willian and Victor Moses wrapped up the three points for Antonio Conte’s men and lifted them up to third place in the Premier League table.
Caballero produced a number of saves to keep the home side at bay on Saturday afternoon and Hazard was impressed by the goalkeeper’s performance against Brighton.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Hazard said: “He did a great performance, everyone who was watching the game could see this. He did well and deserved it. He’s a great goalkeeper.”
Chelsea now switch their attentions back towards League Cup affairs and the second leg of their semi-final clash against Arsenal on Wednesday night.
The west London side are currently in third place in the Premier League table and drew the first leg of the tie 0-0 with the Gunners at Stamford Bridge earlier this month.
Chelsea won the title in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge last season but the Blues are now aiming for a top-four finish this term.
