Charlie Nicholas has claimed that Eden Hazard is looking happier than ever following his fine recent form for Chelsea FC.

The Belgian playmaker seems to be hitting top gear again for the west London side after having missed the start of the season due to a serious ankle injury.

Hazard has been earning plenty of praise for his fine displays of late and he was named as the man of the match as he scored twice in Chelsea FC’s 4-0 win at Brighton last weekend.

However, the 27-year-old was unable to prevent Antonio Conte’s men from slipping to a disappointing 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the League Cup semi-finals last week.

Hazard will be expecting to feature for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action on Wednesday night with a home clash against Bournemouth.

And former Arsenal star Nicholas has claimed that the Belgian playmaker has never looked happier in a Chelsea FC shirt.

Speaking to Sky Sports News on Saturday, Nicholas said: “Hazard has been pretty regular in coming in before kick-off and doing these interviews.

“He looks very content within himself. I don’t think I recall him being happier in terms of his own personality. He’s more assured about himself. He is the superstar footballer at Chelsea.”

Chelsea FC are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they look to at least secure Champions League qualification this season.

The west London side won the title in style in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge at Stamford Bridge last term.
