Chelsea FC are ready to make a new and improved bid to sign Edin Dzeko from Roma this month, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is reporting that the Blues are prepared to return to Roma with an improved offer for the 31-year-old striker as the west London side look to try and conclude a deal before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.

The same report says that Antonio Conte wants to see Chelsea FC conclude a £50m double deal to land both Dzeko and his Roma team-mate Emerson Palmieri before the close of the transfer window this week.

However, the same story says that Chelsea FC have been struggling to convince Dzeko that a move to Stamford Bridge is a good idea. It is claimed that he isn’t keen on moving his family, who have just bought a new home in Italy.

Chelsea FC have already made one signing this month after having concluded a deal to land midfielder Ross Barkley from Everton.

Meanwhile, the Blues are currently preparing for their home clash against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Wednesday night as they look to try and finish as high as possible in the top flight table.
