The young defender joined the Blues from Exeter City in the summer transfer window and has impressed whenever called upon by the Chelsea FC boss.
The 17-year-old played 12 minutes of Chelsea FC’s 3-0 victory over Newcastle United in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday afternoon.
Ampadu has played with a maturity beyond his years whenever called upon by Conte this season, with the defender having made a total of six first-team appearances so far this term.
And Conte has been delighted by Ampadu’s progress, along with fellow youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Quizzed about the duo at his post-match news conference on Sunday, Conte said: “It’s down to them. They certainly have the ability.
“I see them in training and they work hard, which is the most important thing, as well as the ability. It was great to see them on the pitch.”
Meanwhile, Conte is currently preparing his Chelsea FC side for their Premier League clash against Bournemouth in front of their home fans on Wednesday night.
The Blues are in third place in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification in Conte’s second season in charge at Stamford Bridge.
The west London side won the title in style last season but they did not have the distraction of any European football last term.
