Chelsea FC trying to conclude next January signing this weekend – report
Chelsea FC are trying to conclude the signing of Edin Dzeko from Roma before the end of the weekend, say reports
Chelsea FC are trying to conclude the signing of Edin Dzeko from Roma before the end of the weekend but will look elsewhere if a deal is not agreed soon, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Blues have already agreed a deal to sign left-back Emerson Palmieri from Roma but that they want to do a double deal which also includes Dzeko.
The west London side have been heavily linked with moves for both Roma players in the last few days as Antonio Conte searches for his second and third January signings.
But it seems that the Blues are having trouble finalising the deal to land both players in a double deal.
The same report says that Chelsea FC are “hoping” that a deal including both Dzeko and Emerson can be agreed over the weekend.
The same story, though, says that Chelsea FC will waste no time if it becomes clear that they are not going to be able to conclude a deal for Dzeko.
It is claimed that if a deal is not done over the weekend, they will quickly switch their focus towards other potential attacking targets, such as Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud or Stoke forward Peter Crouch.
