Edin Dzeko wants a salary of £90,000 a week if he is to sign for Chelsea FC from Roma this month, according to reporter Kaveh Solhekol.

The Blues have been heavily linked with a move to sign the 31-year-old forward as Antonio Conte looks for the perfect signing to bolster his attacking options at Stamford Bridge.

Dzeko has been touted as a target for the Blues as part of the same deal which would see defender Emerson Palmieri head to Stamford Bridge from Roma.

However, there has not yet been an official agreement between the two clubs as the reported negotiations rumble on.

Now, Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has claimed that Dzeko has set out his demands if he is to join Chelsea FC from the Italian club this month.

Solhekol wrote on Twitter over the weekend: “Chelsea willing to pay £26m for Roma striker Edin Dzeko. He wants basic £90,000 a week and contract until summer of 2021.”

It remans to be seen whether Chelsea FC will be able to bring in any more new players before the close of the transfer window on Wednesday.

They have already been successful in signing midfielder Ross Barkley from Everton at the start of the month.

The west London side are currently gearing up for their home Premier League clash against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
