Ross Barkley looked to be in good shape as he took part in his first training session at Chelsea since signing for the Blues from Everton on Friday.

The England international became the west London side’s first signing of the January transfer window when he put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half year contract with the west London side.

The 24-year-old midfielder joined the Blues from Everton after Chelsea parted with a fee reported to be around £15m to secure their first signing of 2018.

Barkley will now look to get his head down and prove himself as worthy of a regular starting spot in the first team at Chelsea under Antonio Conte in the second half of the season.

And the midfielder looked to be in good shape as he took part in his first training session with Chelsea since his move to the west London side was confirmed.

Barkley posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption:

Chelsea are currently preparing for the first leg of their League Cup semi-final clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

The two London teams played out a 2-2 draw in the Premier League clash at The Emirates last Wednesday.
