Chelsea could re-sign 24-year-old attacker they sold in 2015 – report
Chelsea could try and re-sign Thorgan Hazard in the January transfer window, say report
Chelsea could make a move to try and re-sign Thorgan Hazard from Borussia Monchengladbach, according to reports in Germany.
German newspaper Bild, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Blues are expressing a “strong” interest in trying to bring Hazard back to Stamford Bridge.
The 24-year-old, who is Eden Hazard’s younger brother, spent three years at Stamford Bridge but failed to hold down a regular starting spot before being sold to the German club in 2015.
However, the same report says that Chelsea are interested in re-signing Hazard and have placed the Belgian on their transfer wish-list this month.
Hazard has been in good form for Monchengladbach so far this season and has scored six goals and made three assists in 17 Bundesliga games so far this term.
Meanwhile, Chelsea completed their first signing of the January transfer window last week when they landed midfielder Ross Barkley from Everton.
The Blues are now preparing for the first leg of their League Cup semi-final clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Chelsea played out a frustrating goalless draw with Norwich City in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday, meaning they will now have to face a replay at Stamford Bridge.
