The Blues have already been active this month after concluding a deal to land Ross Barkley from Everton at the turn of the year.
Chelsea have also tied defender Andreas Christensen down to a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge as they look to secure the future of the team.
The west London side continue to be linked with a host of other players as they consider further adding to their squad in the mid-season transfer window.
And pundit Gale is tipping the Blues to continue to be active in the transfer market until the end of the month.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Gale said: “[Antonio] Conte wants players in, he wants bodies through the door, that’s for sure, because he gave a wishlist in and didn’t get it last time around.
“It will be interesting to see if he gets it this time around.
“January is a difficult window to operate in but I would expect Chelsea to get at least a couple more in.”
Chelsea were held to another frustrating goalless draw at Stamford Bridge by Leicester City on Saturday – their third stalemate in a row in all competitions.
The Blues will aim to get back to winning ways when they host Norwich City in the replay of their FA Cup third-round clash at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Chelsea will take on FC Barcelona for a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League over two legs next month.
