Eden Hazard will leave Chelsea in the summer, predicts Mark Lawrenson
The Liverpool legend believes Eden Hazard will leave Chelsea and finally move to Real Madrid in the summer
Eden Hazard will leave Chelsea for Real Madrid in the summer, Mark Lawrenson has predicted.
The defending Premier League champions have been in good form over the past few months but are 18 points adrift of leaders Manchester City.
Belgian forward Hazard has scored five times and has made two assists in 17 games in the Premier League this term.
The west London outfit are going strong in the Champions League but the Blues will have to get past La Liga giants Barcelona in the last 16.
The Chelsea number 10 has been linked with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain on a regular basis over the past three or four seasons.
Former Liverpool defender Lawrenson believes Hazard will finally secure a move to the Champions League holders at the end of the campaign.
“I bet Hazard will go to Real Madrid [in the summer],” Lawrenson told BBC Radio 5 Live.
Hazard scored 16 times in Chelsea’s title-winning campaign last season to help the Blues finish seven points clear of second-placed Tottenham.
The Blues signed the Belgium international in a big-money deal from Ligue 1 side Lille in the 2012 summer transfer window.
The Chelsea No10 has won two Premier League titles, the Europa League and the League Cup since his move to Stamford Bridge.
