Liverpool FC owner’s wife reacts to ‘dramatic’ 4-3 win over Man City
The Liverpool FC owner's wife is thrilled with a dramatic 4-3 victory over Premier League leaders Manchester City on Sunday
John Henry’s wife Linda Pizuti hailed Liverpool FC’s thrilling 4-3 win over Premier League leaders Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds were looking to become the first Premier League team to beat Manchester City in the current campaign following the Citizens’ 22-gam unbeaten streak.
Liverpool FC broke the deadlock in the ninth minute when England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain fired a low finish past Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.
The Citizens were level before half-time when Leroy Sane finished from a tight angle to undo Liverpool FC’s good work in opening 45 minutes.
The Merseyside outfit restored their advantage thanks to Roberto Firmino’s chipped goal before Sadio Mane’s powerful finish left Ederson with no chance in the Manchester City net.
Mohamed Salah netted his 18th Premier League goal of the season to make it 4-1 before late efforts from Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan ensured it was a nerve wracking final 10 minutes.
And the Liverpool FC owner’s wife Pizzuti took to Twitter to hail Reds’s impressive performance against the Premier League leaders.
Pizutti wrote on Twitter: “4 goals to give us 3 really big points! Dramatic win for #lfc @LFC”
Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League table but level on points with Manchester United and Chelsea in what promises to be a competitive top-four race.
