Georginio Wijnaldum sends heartfelt Liverpool FC message to Daniel Sturridge

The Liverpool FC midfielder is hoping Daniel Sturridge's loan move to West Brom proves a success

Georginio Wijnaldum has sent Daniel Sturridge a good luck message after the Liverpool FC striker moved to West Brom on loan.

The England international hasn’t featured in the Reds team since an 18-minute cameo in Liverpool FC’s 7-0 win against Spartak Moscow in the Champions League on 6 December.

Sturridge has started five games and has made nine appearances from the bench in the Champions League and the Premier League in the current campaign.

The 28-year-old has scored three goals and has made three assists this term but his contribution hasn’t been enough to convince Jurgen Klopp that the Englishman is the answer up front.

Sturridge has endured an injury-ravaged three and a half seasons at Anfield since his impressive return of 21 goals in 28 games in the 2013-14 Premier League season.

The former Chelsea FC and Manchester City striker completed a short-term loan switch to the Baggies before the close of the January transfer window.

Dutch midfielder Wijnaldum sent a message to Sturridge following his loan move to West Brom on Monday evening.

Wijnaldum wrote on his Instagram page: “Good luck on your loan movee bro! Wish you the best.”
